My name is Guy Lichtman and as you’ve guessed this is my blog. It is a cool place for me to post all kinds of interesting thoughts. Additionally, I use this blog to post about the fun stuff me and Michal do, so check out the “Fun” tab at the top of the page too. By the way, the header picture at the top of the blog is of me and Michal at Yosemite park during May at the height of the waterfall season (amazing!!!). The picture is a little old. So if you want to see some more recent pics of me, it is best to check out the “Fun” tab of my blog.
I am currently the Product Architect at a young startup, Sentrigo, which focuses on database security. You can read more about our innovative products and even download and try them out at our website: www.sentrigo.com.
My last position before joining Sentrigo was: Director of Server Development at the startup TieGo, which was founded by Ariel Kahan (today at Vringo)
I was one of the first employees at the startup NomadIQ. In early 2001 NomadIQ was purchased by OmniSky a wireless Internet Service Provider (ISP) in the U.S, which was later purchased by Earthlink (NASDAQ: ELNK). I continued working at Omnisky and later Earthlink until 2002, when I joined a new startup, TieGo, as part of a managerial buyout from Earthlink.
During my work experience, I have led the research, design and implementation of various world-class projects and products, including applications that were commercially deployed at large-scale Fortune 500 companies.
I hold a M.Sc degree from the Department of Computer Science at NYU (2006). At NYU I worked with Professor Robert Grimm on the Na Kika project. A very interesting project which defined an open and unified architecture that web sites with dynamic content may freely utilize to scale their applications. I received my B.Sc in Computer Science from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem (2000) and graduated with Excellency (Magna Cum Laude).
